Overall objective: to gain the confidence of both local and international communities in the output of the university's academic programs by preparing them for program accreditation from the national center for evaluation and academic accreditation, as well as recognized and prestigious international bodies

Tasks:

  • Implementing plans and programs that have been approved for academic accreditation.
  • Applying regulations and instructions regarding quality assurance processes at the software level.
  • Overseeing the academic accreditation of academic programs.
  • Developing timelines for educational programs to apply for national and international academic program credits.
  • Providing necessary support and backing for the educational programs at the university faculties to help them advance the academic accreditation of their programs.
  • Offering advice to the university's faculties on issues related to program accreditation, based on the system of the national center for evaluation and academic accreditation and the regulations of the international bodies the university deals with.
  • Overseeing the mechanisms for reviewing and evaluating educational programs at the university, including reviewing reports of programs, courses, and self-studies of the colleges and submitting them to relevant authorities.
  • Maintaining communication with national and international bodies involved in academic program accreditation.
  • Nominating national and international accreditation bodies and following up on their program accreditation procedures through the education and training evaluation commission.
  • Identifying requirements for program approval by accredited entities and ensuring their implementation.
  • Providing suggestions and advice on the university's strategies and priorities for program accreditation.
  • Coordinating between the different university faculties and the national center for evaluation and academic accreditation to meet quality requirements and program accreditation objectives.
  • Conducting field visits to scientific faculties and departments to audit and evaluate their compliance with quality assurance standards and program accreditation criteria.
  • Proposing an action plan to meet the requirements of the national center for evaluation and academic accreditation, as well as the bodies responsible for its implementation.
  • Ensuring the implementation of the action plan for the academic program accreditation.
  • Overseeing the preparation, implementation, and follow-up of program visits by external reviewers for program evaluation purposes.
  • Preparing follow-up reports on the progress of academic accreditation programs.
  • Participating in the identification of human resources, equipment, and materials needed for the unit and monitoring their availability.
  • Participating in identifying the training needs of unit staff and arranging appropriate training programs.
  • Providing periodic reports on unit activities, achievements, and proposals for performance development.
  • Carrying out any other tasks assigned within the unit's jurisdiction.
