Tasks of the Deanship of Development and Quality

The Deanship of Development and Quality at Northern Border University undertakes the following responsibilities:

Planning and Supervision Tasks

• Preparing the Deanship's activity plans and following up on their implementation after approval.
• Providing administrative and technical supervision of the organizational units and committees affiliated with the Deanship's structure, and coordinating among them to ensure integration of their activities and the optimal utilization of available resources.
• Proposing plans and projects necessary to meet the standards for quality assurance, skills development, and the efficiency of university education.

Academic Accreditation Tasks

• Following up on the implementation of the university's general policy for institutional and programmatic academic accreditation.
• Representing the university in communicating with local and international institutional and programmatic academic accreditation bodies, and carrying out the tasks required to fulfill all requirements of quality-related bodies for all university activities.
• Monitoring the evaluation of academic programs, verifying their fulfillment of quality standards, and coordinating with relevant parties on their continuous improvement.

Quality Assurance and Development Tasks

• Designing, developing, and reviewing quality assurance and continuous improvement programs for all activities undertaken by the university.
• Building and developing systems to measure and determine the quality of services provided by the university and the efficiency and effectiveness of its performance, and implementing them in coordination with the Institutional Effectiveness Center.
• Following up on the working teams of development and quality programs and projects, and providing the necessary technical and advisory support and facilities across all university units.

Performance Measurement Tasks

• Establishing performance measurement standards for all quality-related activities, and continuously reviewing and developing them.
• Participating in the identification of performance indicators for all Deanship-related activities, continuously reviewing and developing them, and preparing periodic reports on the Deanship's activities, achievements, and proposals for performance improvement.

Excellence Awards Tasks

• Proposing plans and programs for the nomination of university staff for excellence awards within the university, in coordination with the Institutional Effectiveness Center.

Human Resources Development Tasks

• Identifying the Deanship's needs for human resources, equipment, and materials, and following up on their provision.
• Identifying the training needs of Deanship and university staff to nominate them for suitable training programs.
• Identifying the training needs of faculty members and organizing relevant training programs for them.
• Disseminating awareness of the concept of quality and its performance through holding meetings, sessions, seminars, and workshops specialized in quality assurance and the development of university education.

General Tasks

• Performing any other tasks assigned to the Deanship within the scope of its specialization.
