Duties of The Deanship of Quality and Academic Accreditation:

  • Developing plans for mayoral activities and ensure their implementation after adoption.
  • Provide administrative and technical supervision to organizational units associated with the pillar and facilitate coordination among them to ensure complementary activities and maximize available resources.
  • Suggesting plans and projects to meet quality assurance standards, enhance skills development, and improve the quality of university education.
  • Monitor the implementation of the university's academic, institutional, and programmatic accreditation policy.
  • Designing, developing, and reviewing quality assurance programs to improve all university activities continuously.
  • Establishing and enhancing systems to measure and evaluate university services' quality, efficiency, and effectiveness in collaboration with the Center for Institutional Effectiveness.
  • Monitoring quality programs and projects, offering technical support and advisory assistance to all university units.
  • Representing the university in engaging with local and international academic accreditation and program bodies to meet quality-related requirements for all university activities.
  • Monitoring the evaluation of academic programs to ensure compliance with quality standards and coordinating continuous improvement efforts with relevant stakeholders.
  • Preparing plans and programs for nominating university staff for excellence awards in coordination with the Center for Institutional Effectiveness.
  • Establishing performance measurement standards for all quality-related activities and regularly reviewing and enhancing them.
  • Participating in defining, reviewing, and developing performance indicators for all pillar-related activities and preparing periodic reports on pillar activities, achievements, and suggestions for performance improvement.
  • Identifying and monitoring the provision of human resources, equipment, and materials required for the pillar's functioning.
  • Identifying training needs for the deanship and suggesting suitable training programs.
  • Raise awareness about the concepts and practices of quality through specialized meetings, seminars, symposiums, and workshops on quality assurance and the development of university education.
  • Performing any other assigned tasks to the deanship.

 

Duties of the Director of Material Management:

  • Implementing approved plans and programs.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial and administrative rules, regulations, and instructions applicable to the university.
  • Supervising the implementation of administrative and financial activities in the deanship to ensure optimal performance.
  • Implementing and evaluating various work programs of the deanship from financial and administrative perspectives.
  • Coordinating with relevant organizational units within the deanship and the university's financial affairs department to prepare the draft budget.
  • Carrying out all financial and accounting operations of the deanship in accordance with relevant rules and regulations.
  • Adhering to specific procedures for receiving, directing, transferring, and distributing correspondence within the deanship in coordination with the documents and administrative communications center at the university.
  • Coordinating with the university's purchasing department to fulfil the deanship's material, equipment, and service needs.
  • Managing the deanship's warehouse operations, including storing necessary materials, stationery, and library tools, following approved protocols.
  • Fulfilling the organizational units' needs for items stored in the deanship's warehouse while ensuring no surplus or shortage.
  • Collaborating with the university's department of transportation and Movement to provide transportation services to organizational units within the deanship, adhering to applicable rules and procedures.
  • Coordinating with the documents department at the university to collect, organize, and preserve the deanship's documents and archives, ensuring they are easily accessible, protected from damage and loss, and compliant with the documents and archives system.
  • Collaborating with the university center for Communication and media on public relations and media-related activities in the deanship.
  • Assisting in preparing news, scientific content, and media topics related to the deanship for publication in coordination with the university centre for Communication and Information.
  • Monitoring, tracking, and documenting news related to the deanship.
  • Creating a telephone and email directory for deanship staff.
  • Welcoming and assisting visitors from various departments and divisions at the deanship.
  • Preparing periodic reports on the deanship's activities, achievements and proposing improvements.
  • Participating in determining the deanship's human resources, equipment, and material needs and following up on their provision.
  • Participating in assessing the training needs of deanship staff and recommending suitable training programs.
  • Performing any other tasks assigned to the deanship.
